The Prototypes attempt to categorize landscapes into basic types or at least exemplary models. Even if this is impossible - after all, there are an infinite number of different landscapes and they are constantly changing. In addition, there are countless perspectives that can exist on just one single landscape. There are landscapes everywhere, every new journey draws new ones into the memory and if a prototype succeeds in capturing an individual memory, then the pattern can become a concrete landscape - together with the respective mood with which it is associated for the respective person.

Exactly in the center of each picture, a fine horizontal line made of phosphorescent pigment is build in. During the day it absorbs energy and at night releases it again - so that in the darkness a narrow strip on the wall glows for hours.

Die Prototypen versuchen, Landschaften in Grundtypen oder wenigstens musterhafte Beispiele einzuteilen. Auch wenn das unmöglich ist – schließlich gibt es unendlich viele verschiedene Landschaften. Und diese verändern sich außerdem permanent. Darüber hinaus existieren zahllose Blickwinkel, die es bereits auf nur eine einzige Landschaft geben kann. Landschaften gibt es überall, jede neue Reise zeichnet weitere ins Gedächtnis und wenn es einem Prototypen gelingt, eine individuelle Erinnerung zu treffen, dann kann aus dem Muster eine konkrete Landschaft werden – samt ihrer jeweiligen Stimmung, mit der sie für den jeweiligen Menschen verbunden ist.

Exakt in der Mitte der Bilder ist jeweils eine feine horizontale Linie aus phosphoreszierendem Pigment eingebaut, welches sich tagsüber energetisch auf- und des nachts dann wieder entlädt  - so dass in der Dunkelheit über Stunden ein schmaler Streifen an der Wand glüht.
